Chaumet presents the medals of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games
There Home Chaumet, famous Parisian jeweler established in Place Vendôme since 1812, brought its expertise by designing the design of the medals, an emblem par excellence of the Olympic Games.

In close collaboration with the Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (COJOP) chaired by Tony Estanguet, the creative teams of Chaumet wanted the face of the medal specific to the Paris edition to pay tribute to France and the city of Light, while reflecting the creative codes of the house.
France, visual emblem symbolizing France, is a figure dear to Chaumet. It also represents France and expanded a series of shelves, evoking here the influence of the country at thesecond-hand From the Olympic and Paralympic Games of Paris 2024, that of athletes whose performance will shine in the eyes of the world, and finally that of an exceptional creative know-how.
This radiation is supported by the facettage of medals, thought and made to reflect the light, thus evoking the name of the light city given to the capital, and to make the athlete shine that will bring it to his neck. These different rays cut in the metal animate and give life to this exceptional object.
The materials chosen are highly symbolic. Gold, d ’silver Or bronze, these medals are above all from Paris.
Chaumet So chose to innovate by setting this hexagonal center in the manner of a precious stone, with the "claw" crimping technique, traditionally used by the house for its rooms in Haute-Joaillerie. This crimping recalls the "nails of Paris", used in jewelry and evoking the rivets of the Eiffel Tower
The second side of the medal Chaumet For the Olympics
Identical for each edition, the other side of the medals illustrates the Renaissance of Games in Greece. The goddess of victory Athena Niké is represented alongside the Acropolis out of the Panathenaic stadium, the place of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896. For the Paris 2024 Games, the Eiffel Tower was added in front of the Acropolis. This side of the medal pays tribute to the ancient Greek games and the French origins of the modern Olympic Games celebrating their return to the capital a century after the 1924 Olympiads.
For paralympic medals
The House Chaumet chose to represent a view in counter-angled under the Eiffel Tower, with the inscription "Paris 2024" engraved in universal Braille, symbol of accessibility and wink to Louis Braille. The ribbon, red or blue, takes up the tapered lines of the Eiffel Tower, made according to French know-how.
The medal, made for the first time by a jeweler, expresses the creative role of LVMH as partner of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris 2024. In collaboration with Paris 2024, Chaumet Drawn from his archives and Olympism to create a medal with the codes of the Haute Joaillerie.
