Rare antique round medal pendant in solid 18 carat (750 thousandths) yellow gold with eagle's head hallmark and engraved "DEPOSE" on the ring. French Art Nouveau work from the beginning of the 20th century. It celebrates the month of April with the openwork inscription 'AVRIL' and is decorated with a fine chiseled floral motif with leaves added in contrasting green gold. Centered with a round cabochon of fine sapphire set in a closed setting. No engraving on the reverse.
