Yellow gold brooch of prestigious manufacture branded Agostino Gigante (hallmarked on the needle clasp with the initials of the most famous Moretti artist of all time).
Late 19th century, it is made of gold, black and white enamels, and the original sketch from the famous Gigante workshop is published (page 93 - "IL MORETTO FIUMANO" by Erna Toncinich).
The condition is very good; only a part of the enamel on the turban of the central Moor is slightly chipped, but this is a minor detail considering the historical value of the object.
The length is 4.6 cm, the height of the central Moor is 2.3 cm.
It is made of so-called "Habsburg" gold, with a fineness of 583 thousandths. It bears a less visible mark relating to the Austro-Hungarian Empire, in force since 1866.
A certificate of authenticity and a historical appraisal complete the object.
