- Quadrilobed in shape, this sumptuous old brooch is made of gold and copper wire. platinum on which are placed 12 fine pearls and an old brilliant-cut diamond in a beaded bezel setting. The entire edge is set with alternating old brilliant-cut diamonds in a beaded bezel setting and rose-cut diamonds. The clasp is a metal pin with safety hook. This clasp can be dismantled using a small gold screw.

Our opinion : A lovely diamond and fine pearl brooch which was undoubtedly part of a more complete set. A small screw thread is always present on the back, it allowed the old jewel to be attached to another support such as a hairpin, a necklace... These clasps were often made of metal, more rigid than gold. The latter proves the authenticity of this magnificent ancient jewel.
