Watches and Wonders 2025 : Une nouvelle couleur pour la J12 de Chanel

Watches and Wonders 2025: A new color for the J12 Chanel

.To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the J12, Chanel hits hard at Watches and Wonders 2025 by unveiling a brand new color for its iconic unisex watch, the J12

This edition marks a major aesthetic break: previously offered in monochromatic tones, made in white or black ceramic - the model's signature material - she dresses for the first time in a deep matte blue and mysterious, which closely resembles black, while offering it a new dimension. Seven times stronger than steel but also lighter, the high-resistance ceramic of the Maison Chanel overcomes all the tests of time.

A diverse and refined collection

Fruit of 5 years of research and development, the new J12 Blue collection is available in nine interpretations, including five pieces of Haute Horlogerie, each highlighting exceptional know-how. Designed by the Watchmaking Creation Studio located on Place Vendôme, all stages of manufacturing, from the production of the ceramic components to the assembly of the watch, are carried out in Switzerland by the Manufacture horlogère de la Maison.

The classic J12 Blues

J12 Blue Caliber 12.1 - 38 mm

Priced at €11,000, this iconic model embodies the simplicity and modernity of the new J12 Bleu collection. Its 38 mm case in matte blue ceramic and blackened steel houses a matte blue varnished dial, enhanced with 12 baguette-cut blue sapphire indexes. The watch is powered by the automatic caliber 12.1, chronometer-certified by the COSC, offering a power reserve of 70 hours, and is distinguished by its water resistance to 200 meters and its transparent case back that allows the movement to be admired. This movement is also produced by the Swiss Manufacture Kenissi, which guarantees precision and reliability, and whose Chanel is co-owner alongside Tudor, sister brand of Rolex.

The matching matte blue ceramic bracelet completes the look for a sporty yet elegant look that appeals to both men and women.

J12 Blue Caliber 12.1 - 38 mm, sapphire indexes

J12 Blue Caliber 12.2 - 33 mm, sapphire indexes

Priced at €24,500, this watch is the most expensive J12 in this new blue collection. Its 33 mm case in matte blue ceramic and blackened steel has the same aesthetic signature as the 38 mm model, with a thinner, more discreet and refined format, better suited to smaller wrists and especially to women. The matte blue varnished dial is enhanced by 12 blue sapphire indexes (~0.22 carat), which add a precious and luminous touch to the whole. At the heart of this watch beats the automatic caliber 12.2, also developed by the Swiss manufacturer Kenissi and chronometer-certified by the COSC, guaranteeing optimal precision and a 50-hour power reserve, a remarkable performance for a watch of this diameter. The transparent case back allows you to admire the careful mechanics, a signature of watchmaking Chanel.

J12 Blue 42 mm Sapphires

The J12 Bleu 42 mm Saphirs is a cross between the two previous J12 Bleu Saphirs models, with a more imposing format, it takes up the gemsetting of the J12 Bleu 28mm, while being equipped with the Manufacture movement with automatic winding, chronometer-certified by the COSC, the Calibre 12.1, as is the J12 Bleu 38mm. Its large case and bracelet are entirely set with 170 baguette sapphires, whose blue hue echoes the matte ceramic.

J12 Blue X-Ray 42 mm

Unquestionably the most spectacular piece in this new J12 Bleu collection, the X-Ray boasts a total of 196 baguette-cut blue sapphires set on a bezel and bracelet links in white and black gold, and brings a new shade of blue to the collection, with a bracelet and case not in ceramic but in sapphire this time. From setting to assembly, more than 1,600 hours were required to craft this Haute Horlogerie piece, highlighted by a dial that reveals the Manufacture Calibre 3.1 movement: a prodigious mechanical lacework, perceptible thanks to the presence of colorless sapphire components (the platinum and two bridges). An impression accentuated by an aerial bridge in colorless sapphire on which are placed 12 bright blue natural baguette-cut sapphire indexes.
