From Heart to Hand, the exceptional Dolce & Gabbana exhibition at the Grand Palais
At the start of this year, Paris celebrates the reopening of its Grand Palais, with a unique immersive exhibition: From Heart to Hand, with more than 200 unique creations from the Maison Italian Dolce & Gabbana, from January 10 to April 2, 2025, which extends over 1200m2 in a labyrinthine stroll and was crowned with success.

Built in 1897 for the 1900 World's Fair, the Grand Palais has for over a hundred years fulfilled its greatest mission: to host the capital's major official artistic events, including highly anticipated fairs such as Art Basel Or Paris Photo.
Designed by the fashion historian Florence Müller, the famous exhibition is an open love letter to Italian culture, which goes back to the origin of the extraordinary dream that became the reality of their Alta ModaThe exhibition traces the aesthetic journey of their creations, first carried in their hearts, then executed by hand in their workshops: a characteristic approach to luxury, allegorical of elegance, sensuality and opulence.
In short, it reflects the richness of their inspirations drawn from thehistory of Italian art, architecture, crafts, regional cultures, music, opera, ballet, cinema, folk traditions, theater and of course – “the sweet life”, which is expressed in pieces of ultra-sophisticated fashion, leather goods and jewelry.
Dolce & Gabbana, Italian opulence
Born in the heart of the 1980s, the maison marks the meeting between the Sicilian Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. At the time, both were working for the Giorgio Correggiari brand, where Dolce took Gabbana under his wing, teaching him the ins and outs of the industry as well as drawing. Dolce & Gabbana was founded in 1983, initially as a design consulting studio. It was with their second collection, “Donne Vere/Real” Women (autumn-winter 1986) which marks a turning point for the maison, who then managed to attract the attention of investors and fashion critics; beginning the beginning of their career in haute couture. To design their first clothes, which they liked decorated with lace, silks and embroidery, They find their inspiration in the film “The Cheetah” by Luchino Visconti (1963), as well as others cinema icons Italian of the time, including Claudia Cardinale And Sophia Loren.
