Stylish vintage Art Deco era polychrome enamel portrait ring (circa 1930s) crafted in 18 karat yellow gold.
Polychrome enamel measures 23mm x 7.5mm. The enamel shows minor abrasions visible under a 10x magnifying glass.
The portrait of a woman is characteristic of jewelry from the region of Limoges, France. We acquired the ring on a recent trip to Italy. The polychrome enamel is bright with luminous pink and yellow details. The shuttle shaped cocktail ring makes a nice statement on the hand. The low rise ring (3mm - 0.11 inches) sits comfortably on the finger.
The ring is in good condition. We have not cleaned it in order to preserve the patina and collector value.
Weight: 3.3 grams
Size & Measurements: The ring is a size 6 1/4 (sizable). The mount measures 26mm in length (1.02 inches) and 10mm wide (0.39 inches) rising 3mm from the finger.
Metal & Hallmark: 18 karat yellow gold. The ring is not hallmarked though it has tested positive for 18k gold.
