Its body is set with nearly 140 diamonds, with ruby eyes providing a vivid accent, while the combination of red gold and silver gives the piece warmth and brilliance.
An engraved date, 1 April 1905, adds a particularly personal note. However, such an inscription does not necessarily indicate the date of manufacture and, without it, the jewel could easily have been dated several decades earlier.
