An authentic masterpiece of balance between form and proportion, this 1940s Vacheron Constantin “Teardrop” perfectly embodies the great era of Geneva watchmaking.
The iconic “tear” lugs, finely sculpted in 18k rose gold, blend naturally into the case middle, creating a fluid and sculptural profile with a strongly architectural character yet imbued with romantic elegance. A design immediately recognizable to collectors and connoisseurs.
The Stars dial, rarer than the standard baton dial, white-silver, intact and never restored, stands out for its refined elegance. It features twelve applied star-shaped gold hour markers and, at the center, the Maltese Cross, the historic emblem of Maison since 1877. The same cross is engraved on the caliber bridge, confirming its authenticity.
Powered by the P454/5B caliber, this timepiece skillfully combines mechanical precision and aesthetic sensitivity. Refined yet assertive, it belongs to that category of watches that do not seek to impose themselves: they prefer to convey excellence with discretion, to those who know how to perceive it.
