A refined testimony to the Art Deco aesthetic, this ladies' branded Vacheron & Constantin watch illustrates the expertise of the Maison Geneva house, founded in 1755, renowned for its creations combining high watchmaking and high jewelry.
Made around 1920–1925, this piece stands out for its platinum 950 case with characteristic geometric lines, rectangular shape with cut corners, extended by delicate triangular lugs.
The whole is enhanced by a setting of rose-cut diamonds in a hand-executed beaded grain setting, remarkable for its finesse.
At its center, an original frosted glass plaque, a rare element now almost vanished, diffuses the light gently, giving the watch a subtle and unique presence.
The metallic gray dial, punctuated with painted Arabic numerals and a railroad minute track, retains all the understated elegance of its era.
The case back is branded Vacheron & Constantin with the Maltese cross and numbered, accompanied by Swiss hallmarks as well as an additional mascaron hallmark, attesting to its authenticity and history.
Mounted on a black leather strap adorned with 750 white gold elements set with diamonds, with a clasp and safety chain, the watch is equipped with a later quartz movement allowing reliable daily use, without altering the original case.
Presented in an elegant branded Vacheron & Constantin, Geneva case, dating from the 1950s.
