Pendant made from a vintage branch of pale salmon-colored coral, with an organic, wavy, and elongated shape, well preserved. A 14k gold cap has been added so it can be worn on a chain. The cap, with a curved arch, reveals a beautiful part of the coral. The coral is attached to the cap by a hole drilled into its upper part, which holds it in place.
In the Georgian and Victorian eras, coral was often used for baby rattles or as pacifiers, as its soft and smooth texture made it comfortable for a baby during teething.
