This high jewelry ring, crafted in platinum in a Art Deco style, features as its centerpiece a striking oval cabochon ruby of intense red/fuchsia color. The ruby is set with visible prongs and surrounded by a geometric pavé setting of brilliant-cut diamonds, creating a strong contrast between the crystalline sparkle of the diamonds and the velvety depth of the ruby.
Main characteristics:
- Center stone: large oval cabochon of intense red color, probably a ruby. The cabochon cut, with a smooth and domed surface, without facets, highlights the color and internal transparency of the gem. Heat-treated stone, 12.0 ct.
- Setting: crafted in platinum.
- Accent diamonds: the ring is surrounded by multiple small pavé-set diamonds. They create a brilliant frame around the ruby and enhance the visual contrast. Total weight: 0.80 ct.
- Geometric design: the structure features symmetrical lines and highly refined angular and curved motifs, associated with the Art Deco style of the 1920s to 1940s.
