Per Suntum (1944- )
Per Suntum, an internationally renowned jeweler, lives and creates on the Danish island of Bornholm. In 1965, he graduated as a goldsmith from the Hans Hansen Silversmithy with a silver medal. Two years later, he moved to Ireland to work at Rionore. In 1971, he left Europe to undertake more than a decade of exploration and study in Asia and North Africa.
Back in Denmark in 1981, Suntum resumed his goldsmith training at the College for Silversmithing and Jewellery, from which he graduated in 1985. His creations are featured in numerous public and private collections, and his career has been marked by distinctions such as the Danish Arts Foundation lifetime grant and the Prize of Distinction from the Inga and Ejvind Kold Christensen Foundation.
