A 19 ct round topaz occupies almost the entire pendant. The compact gold setting remains visually discreet and highlights the stone’s volume, color, and play of light.
Style and period: large colored gemstones in light, compact gold settings characterize many vintage creations from the second half of the 20th century. Here too, the stone takes center stage, while the goldwork fully supports its round shape.
Materials and stones: made of 585 yellow gold (14 carats). Set with a 19 ct round topaz.
Condition and restoration: the piece of jewelry has been carefully checked and gently restored. The setting, bail, connections, and stone setting were inspected for stability and secure condition; the gold surface was carefully cleaned and refreshed without altering the character of the piece.
How it wears and pairing: despite its compact external dimensions, the pendant has a strong presence thanks to the 19 ct topaz. It is particularly well suited to being worn on a simple gold chain.
