Vintage 14-carat gold pendant, adorned with a natural pale pink pear-shaped kunzite, surrounded by a halo of cognac diamonds. The kunzite displays a beautiful pink saturation and many facets that catch the light. The diamonds are claw-set, with a prong at the tip of each setting, creating a pattern reminiscent of a starburst or a flower. The back of the pendant is openwork to allow light to reflect through the stone. It hangs from a slightly larger bail, which harmoniously balances the pendant.
- Natural kunzite: 16.25 mm x 9.5 mm
- Weight of the kunzite: approximately 8.6 carats
- Natural cognac diamonds (20): 1.75 mm to 3.1 mm
- Total diamond weight (TCW): approximately 1.25 carats
- Pendant dimensions: 7/8” x 5/8”, plus a 5 x 8 mm bail
- Weight: 5.45 g
Kunzites are evening stones and should be kept in a closed box so that the stone does not lose its color under UV rays. Although the fading effect is very slow, many people prefer to wear kunzite jewelry in the evening to avoid sun exposure.
