Pendant composed of an ancient Roman copper coin mounted on a bail and accompanied by a chain, in 18 kt rose gold (hallmark: owl).
The coin, a "follis" or "nummus", features on one side the profile portrait of Diocletian, Roman emperor of the 3rd-4th centuries (284-305), whose head is crowned with a laurel wreath, surrounded by the maxim "Imperator Diocletianus Augustus" (Emperor Diocletian Augustus). On the other side, a Genius holding a patera in the right hand and a cornucopia in the left hand, surrounded by the inscription "Genio Populi Romani" (To the Genius of the Roman People).
