Designed by Paloma Picasso for Tiffany & Co., this 18k gold spiral pendant necklace is a highly sought after-after retired shape. HAS spiral of 18k gold with a rosy patina creates this mesmerizing egg-shaped pendant. The exterior of the spiral has a glossy polish, while the interior is an unpolished matte gold for an absolutely stunning effect. Part of the Venezia collection, the spiral is inspired by the glowing lampposts of Italy. The pendant hangs on a long chain that places the pendant low on the chest for a sexy and chic look.
Paloma Picasso is a French fashion designer and the daughter of Pablo Picasso. She began her career as a costume designer in Paris in 1968, and began designing for Tiffany & Co. in 1980. She is described as having “a gift for finding beauty in unexpected places, from subway grates to an olive leaf” and her iconic designs are “imbued with an exuberant originality.”
The necklace is marked “T & Co.” and “750” and contains the signature and copyright of Paloma Picasso, as well as the serial number for the piece. The pendant is marked “Italy”. The pendant measures 1.75” x 1”. The necklace weighs 13.17 grams. It comes in a Tiffany & Co. pouch.
