Pair of yellow gold sleepers and platinum diamonds

Superb pair of antique sleepers in 18K yellow gold and platinum, set with old-cut diamonds, just the way we like them.
Not quite round, not quite oval, they are difficult to measure in carats, but they give us everything we could hope for from a hand-cut diamond: brilliance and whiteness!
they are delicately fixed to the body of the buckle in a radiating setting in platinum, and move with the movements of the head. They are very rarely found in such beautiful condition and with such beautiful (and large!) diamonds. They are too often unset to be mounted on other jewelry!
The two main diamonds in the tassel are estimated to weigh approximately 1.2 carats for one and 0.9 carats for the other. They appear similar but one of the two is thicker. The two smaller diamonds are rounder and measure approximately 0.18 and 0.23 carats respectively (estimated).
