On the obverse, the coin depicts Albert I, King of the Belgians from 1909 to 1934, known for his commitment during the First World War. He was also the father of Maria José, future Queen of Italy.
On the reverse appears the coat of arms of the maison royal house of the Belgians, a symbol of authority and dynastic continuity, with heraldic elements of the Belgian monarchy.
