Important pair of vintage clip-on earrings, branded by the Greek jeweler Ilias Lalaounis, in silver 925 silver and 18-carat yellow gold 750 thousandths, stamped “925”, “750”, “GREECE” and “R12” with the maker's mark of master goldsmith Lalaounis. Oval in shape and slightly domed, they are adorned with a gadrooned motif centered with an oval cabochon of natural blue sapphire bezel-set in yellow gold.

Condition: very good. One of the sapphire cabochons shows a slight natural color variation. This vintage model is a collector's item. It is a magnificent pair of clips by a great jeweler, very elegant with beautiful volume and easy to wear every day.
Previously associated with the maison Zolotas of the same family, the Greek jeweler and goldsmith Ilias Lalaounis (1920-2013) founded his maison in 1968. His creations are inspired by Greek art and mythology. Delivered in their original case, bearing the Lalaounis name.
