This spiral ring was designed by Gurhan as part of the Rain collection and is entirely handmade. A thick 22K gold wire was hand-hammered, then twisted to form a spiral. At both ends, the ring is finished with a 1.5 mm bezel-set diamond.
Gurhan Orhan is a Turkish designer known for pioneering the revival of 24K gold craftsmanship. Using tools reminiscent of the Anatolian and Byzantine eras, each Gurhan piece is handmade according to demanding processes; in Gurhan pieces, a square inch of gold may receive more than 1,000 hammer strikes, which strengthens the 24K gold. Gurhan creations are often inspired by ancient coins, micromosaics, and rare precious stones. The Lush collection was introduced in the late 1990s. The collection constantly evolves with the introduction of new pieces each year.
The ring weighs 5.87 g. It measures 13/16 in across the finger. The ring is custom-made and bears the serial number R01941C.490 on the inside.
