Gurhan Orhan is a Turkish designer known for pioneering the revival of 24k gold goldsmithing. Using tools reminiscent of the Anatolian and Byzantine eras, each Gurhan piece is handcrafted using demanding processes; in Gurhan creations, a square inch of gold can contain more than 10,000 hammer blows, which strengthens the 24k gold. Gurhan’s creations are often inspired by ancient coins, micro-mosaics, and rare gemstones. The Lush collection was launched in the late 1990s. It evolves continually, with new pieces added each year.
