This handmade 18-karat gold, diamond and guilloché enamel locket was designed by VICTOR MAYER for Fabergé. The cobalt blue enamel features stunning detail: it is transparent to reveal intricate engravings beneath the guilloché work. The prints feature a chevron pattern with an oval frame in the center, a pattern that provides depth and variation with the cobalt blue nuances of the enamel. Along the oval frame there are tiny gold details of flowers and crosses. In the center of the medallion is a gold cross decorated with natural diamonds set into pearls. The locket opens to hold two oval images. The locket is attached to an 18k gold bail that features a lovely split design that can open and close, allowing it to clip onto a chain. Numbered 27/200, this magnificent medallion is very limited in its creation and is a rare find.
