Edwardian earrings in platinum, set with old diamonds, with a lovely dangling movement on the ear. The upper part features an openwork foliage motif, adorned with seven single cut and old mine cut diamonds. The stones are grain set and surrounded by millegrain. The feminine and elegant foliage motif evokes a shell.
Below this upper element, three graduated Old European Cut diamonds are bezel set, with millegrain work on their edges. These earrings offer beautiful brilliance, ideal for an evening outfit and also as bridal earrings.
The earrings total approximately 1.2 carats of natural old diamonds. The diamonds have a K-L color and clarity ranging from VS2 to SI2. They feature attractive open culets. Some Old Mine Cut diamonds in the upper part have slightly square tables, reminiscent of table cuts. The three Old European Cut diamonds measure 3 mm, 3.2 mm, and 4 mm.
The earrings test as platinum. The posts and friction backs are marked 14k gold. Total weight: 5.2 g. Total length: 1 1/4” (top to bottom). The upper element measures 5/16” x 7/16” and the section with the three dangling diamonds measures 7/8”.
