A vintage collector’s piece, this rare hummingbird brooch, circa 1960, is an authentic creation by the prestigious British jewelry maison E. Wolfe & Co. This mid-20th-century jewel is finely handcrafted in solid 18 ct yellow gold, fully branded and individually numbered.
In the 20th century, E. Wolfe & Co became a renowned maison in British jewelry. Known worldwide as “The Tiara Makers,” the master goldsmiths of this historic workshop created more than a thousand tiaras for royal courts and prestigious families across Europe.
The sculptural 18 ct gold bird features textured plumage. Its eye and delicate feathers are highlighted with a vibrant 0.15-carat natural ruby and a set of natural brilliant-cut diamonds totaling 0.10 carat. Measuring 22.5 x 20 mm, this British branded piece is highly sought after.
