Vintage necklace from the 1970s, acquired during a trip to Ketchikan, Alaska, where gold mining is still active.
The necklace is composed of 1/2” "bar" links alternating with small natural gold nuggets. The nuggets are attached to the chain by rings and an oval link, creating a rhythmic pattern and an organic sparkle, like sequins.
The entire necklace is 14K gold, except for the gold nuggets. The nuggets are 20K to 24K gold.
