Necklace - Faceted gray diamond beads in 18-carat yellow gold
This 18-carat gold necklace with grey diamonds features 34 faceted diamond beads. The beads, oblong in shape, are graduated in size: the largest measure 4.5 x 4 mm and the smallest 2.5 x 2.2 mm.
The beads are hand-wired through a laborious process: an 18-carat gold wire is passed through each bead, then looped and hand-strung in 3/8” chain sections between each diamond. The result is a “diamond by the yard” (or “diamond by the inch”) necklace.
The grey diamonds are included, giving them a milky appearance, with many facets that catch the light. They display beautiful color variations, and the necklace reflects many shades of grey.
The necklace contains 34 natural grey diamonds, for a total weight of about 7.5 carats. The diamonds measure from 4.5 x 4 mm to 2.5 x 2.2 mm.
