A vintage branded pendant from the Maison Chopard, from the "Happy Clown" collection, depicting an articulated puppet in 750/000 yellow gold whose bow tie is set with brilliant-cut diamonds (0.22 ct total), and its eyes with sapphires (0.05 ct total). Its belly contains floating stones between two panes: emerald, sapphires, rubies of 0.10 ct each, and 3 diamonds totaling 0.30 ct. It is held by a Link belcher chain in 750/000 yellow gold.
It was in 1985 that Caroline Scheufele, artistic director and co-president of Chopard, created this amusing clown, thus giving birth to the first jewelry piece from the Maison, which until then had specialized in watchmaking.
