Louis Cartier created the Tortue in 1912, inspired by the animal of the same name. From its debut, this watch established itself as a true aesthetic success and fully illustrated the avant-garde spirit of Cartier. This version, reissued in limited numbers in the 2000s, remains among the most sought-after models of the Maison, since there has been no further reissue since. This watch does not appear in the traditional Cartier catalog and is almost impossible to find.
Watch second-hand - as the watch was opened for inspection and servicing in the workshop, the original water resistance guarantee can no longer be assured except against rain and splashes.
