This antique brooch is much more than a decorative accessory. It brings together symbols of love, passion, and remembrance. Rubies, rose-cut diamonds, and a delicate pearl together form an expressive sign of emotional connection.
The geometric composition, the use of rose-cut diamonds, and the combination of yellow gold with light-set elements, probably in platinum, indicate a period from around 1900 to the early years of the Art Deco. At that time, brooches were worn as personal messages, often close to the heart or fastened to clothing.
Made of 18k yellow gold, the brooch features light settings in places, typical of platinum or platinum-plated elements from this period. It is adorned with 16 rubies. They are complemented by rose-cut diamonds. The whole is finished with a small pearl.
The brooch is in very good condition, consistent with its age. The settings, mechanism, and ornamentation are stable. The surfaces show only fine marks of time. It has been checked and carefully cleaned.
Thanks to its balanced proportions, the brooch can be worn in different ways: on the lapel, on a dress, or as an accent on a shawl. The mobile pearl brings a lively elegance and is noticeable with movement.
