It depicts an elegant bird with a naturalistic yet whimsical character. The body is adorned with an oval-shaped jade cabochon, in delicate blue-green shades, skillfully integrated into the gold setting.
The wings, finely shaped and distinguished by raised workmanship reproducing the feathers, give the brooch a pleasing impression of movement and lightness. The tail is also made using fluted and overlapping elements, while the long neck and beak are defined by soft, sinuous lines.
