18 ct yellow gold bouquet brooch, rutilated rock crystal and colored stones.
Large 18 ct yellow gold bouquet brooch, composed of a V-shaped element of rock crystal crossed by golden rutile needles, on which is applied a bouquet of colored stones: emeralds, sapphires, aquamarines, citrines, amethysts and tourmalines, cut as pears, ovals, cabochons or fancy shapes, bezel-set. The whole is accented with small bezel-set diamonds in white gold.
The piece can also be worn as a pendant.
Monogrammed V.T., with the corresponding maker's mark. French work, probably from the 1970s-1980s.

Very good overall condition for a piece of this scale.
The colored stones, bezel-set, which effectively protects them around their edges, are overall in fine condition, with no major damage. The emeralds show a few slight abrasions on their edges, inevitable in natural stones of this size and consistent with their nature: they do not affect either the color or the readability of the composition. The diamonds have no losses or chips. Slight traces of glue can be noted at the junction between the bouquet and the rock crystal, barely visible under normal wearing conditions.
When worn, the brooch fully reveals its appeal: the golden rutile needles, discreet when viewed flat, come alive in the light and take on their full presence against the back of a garment. The color palette, from the green of the emeralds to the violet of the amethysts, from the blue of the sapphires and aquamarines to the yellow of the citrines, is rich without being discordant. A piece that stands entirely on its own.
