Breitling Genève ref. 4002, circa 1956, an elegant 35 mm dress watch combining a gold-plated case with a stainless steel case back.
It stands out for its original two-tone dial, composed of a finely brushed silvered center and a wide gold outer ring, punctuated by applied hour markers.
The gold dauphine hands, central seconds, and date window at 3 o’clock under a magnifier integrated into the plexiglass complete this aesthetic characteristic of the 1950s.
The watch is powered by the Breitling / Venus 227 hand-wound mechanical caliber, 21 jewels, beating at 18,000 vibrations per hour and offering approximately 36 hours of power reserve.
Its operation has been checked. The watch runs perfectly and shows very good results on the timegrapher.
The dial was also examined and confirmed to be original. The plexiglass is in very good condition, with no notable scratches.
The case shows signs of use consistent with the watch’s age, including slight localized wear to the plating on certain edges, without detracting from its very attractive overall appearance.
Fitted with a black leather strap, it is delivered with a Breitling box branded.
