Bracelet composed in the form of a vine garland, crafted in textured 18K gold and articulated through a succession of overlapping vine leaves. The leaves display fine surface work, characteristic of mid-20th-century Italian and French goldsmithing: the metal is worked to evoke the veins and matte texture of the natural leaf, catching the light in soft, diffused planes rather than in sharp reflections.
Between and beneath the leaves, clusters of small cabochon rubies and sapphires are arranged like bunches of grapes, the rich red and deep blue stones nestled together like fruit along a real vine. The combination of contrasting colored cabochons with warm yellow gold creates a vivid, painterly effect, while the articulated construction allows the bracelet to follow the curve of the wrist with the natural movement of a living branch.
Measuring 17 cm in length and 2.2 cm in width, the bracelet has a generous, sculptural presence.
