Finely crafted 18K gold huggie hoop earrings with rubies and diamonds. They feature a classic 1980s design, combining a braided motif and a C-shaped hoop with pavé diamonds and rows of square calibre-cut rubies set in channel settings, along with an architectural column-like detail at the base of the hoop. The earrings are fitted with omega backs and a huggie shape that hugs the ear.
In total, the earrings contain 26 natural diamonds with a combined weight of 0.30 carat. The diamonds are bright and lively, H-I in color and SI1 in clarity. The earrings contain 16 natural calibre-cut rubies, with an approximate total weight of 0.30 carat.
The earrings measure 3/4” high and 7/16” wide. Together, they weigh 8.8 g. One of the earrings is marked 18K gold and bears a model number. Circa 1980s.
