Belle Époque necklace in 18k yellow gold composed of an articulated décolleté motif in the form of knots, held by a Link trace chain. The gold ribbons, finely turned back on themselves to form the knots, are adorned with baroque seed pearls and end in small tassels. The entire motif is slightly domed, designed to follow the curve of the neckline. On the reverse, the articulation system is visible, clear and legible, a direct testament to the care devoted to the construction of the piece.

Condition
Good overall condition for a piece of this age and such delicacy of construction. The knots are intact, the folded gold ribbons crisp and well formed, a sign of careful goldsmith work that has withstood the passage of time without deformation. The articulations move freely.
Some traces of soldering are visible in places, likely original; the tight recesses of the knots did not allow for complete polishing, which is inherent to this type of construction and in no way detracts from the overall effect.
The seed pearls are baroque; their slight irregularities in shape are characteristic of natural pearls from this period, and they are of a very pure white, without yellowing.
When worn, the necklace sits naturally on the neckline, following the curve of the bust as it was designed to do. The effect is both structured and supple.
