A diamond is set at the center, surrounded by four blue sapphires arranged in a cross. Between them, polished white gold elements open like small rays and give movement to the square-looking ring head.
The very geometric composition, almost star- or flower-shaped, the open basket construction, and the clearly separated settings are all characteristic of jewelry from the 1960s and 1970s. The design combines floral references with a distinctly more graphic Mid-Century formal language.
The ring is crafted in 585 white gold, corresponding to 14 carats. At the center is a 0.10 ct diamond. Quatre blue sapphires totaling 0.08 ct form the colored surround. The small stones are set clearly apart from one another, allowing the geometric construction of the ring head to remain visible.
The ring has been inspected and restored by a professional. The individual settings and the open construction were checked for stability and secure stone placement. Slight vintage traces may remain.
The ring head measures approximately 10 x 10.5 mm and appears light and graphic thanks to its open design. It pairs particularly well with other white gold rings, but also with yellow gold, colored stones, or various vintage shapes. At 2.27 g, it remains pleasantly light on the finger.
