This handmade vintage ring features a large oval cabochon of natural prehnite, bezel-set on a wide 14K gold band. The band has a raised section on each side, decorated with a crosshatched Florentine pattern that ends in an arrow shape at the base and adds beautiful visual texture, echoing that visible in the prehnite stone.
The prehnite is a lovely sea-moss green and, depending on the viewing angle, seems to radiate and glow from within. The translucent stone contains rutile inclusions that shimmer in the light and suggest movement, which suits a stone known for its ability to encourage transformation. Even though we generally do not discuss the metaphysical aspect very much, we cannot deny that there is something special about this prehnite crystal and the depth it seems to contain. Prehnite is known as the "dreamer's stone" and is used in dreamwork to promote prophetic and lucid dreams, as well as healing and spiritual transformation. The cabochon in this ring seems to evoke a certain captivating dreaminess.
We love the ring’s handcrafted qualities: viewed from the side, the band is slightly off-center, a detail seen only on a truly handmade piece.
The natural prehnite cabochon weighs 16.5 ct and measures approximately 3/4” x 1/2”.
The band measures 7/8” at its widest point and 1/4” at its narrowest point. The ring weighs 13.65 g.
