Elegant vintage rose gold ring with a white gold head in a “cluster” design, very common in the 1930s and 1940s. The central setting holds an old mine cut diamond weighing 0.70 ct, set with high prongs within an openwork petal crown, creating the effect of a stylized flower.
The double-shank mounting, with a split band that joins beneath the setting, is typical of mid-20th-century jewelry, designed to visually lighten the ring and highlight the central stone. On the back of the band, the “750” hallmark can be seen, useful for identifying the metal fineness.
The open back beneath the diamond allows light to pass through and enhances the stone’s brilliance.
