This rectangular ring in 18-carat rose gold and silver elegantly illustrates the refinement of jewelry from the late 19th century, at the crossroads of Victorian influences and the beginnings of Art Deco. Its silver bezel holds a deep midnight-blue enamel plaque. This central decoration, both poetic and meticulous, immediately catches the eye. All around, a setting of marcasites brings a discreet, metallic sparkle. The rose gold band, composed of two shanks, ensures comfort and stability. The joint presence of the swan and owl hallmarks attests to the quality of the precious metals.
This ring belongs to the great tradition of sentimental jewelry from the Victorian era, when each element carried meaning. The marcasites, used here as a surround, were an elegant alternative to diamonds.
