Like perched above a 14-carat yellow gold ring, a charming winged insect in silver sterling, 9K gold, topazes, pearls, and garnet. The insect dates from the 1900s and is delicately crafted with superb workmanship. The topazes display a beautiful honey color, and their multi-faceted cuts add sparkle to the body. There are two topazes, one oval and one round; the two stones measure 9 x 6.5 mm and 4 x 4 mm respectively. The wings in silver sterling feature two small seed pearls on each side, adding a decorative touch to the insect. The body of the insect is in 9K gold. The vivid garnet forming the insect's head measures 1 mm (round). The insect measures 3/4 of an inch, with a wingspan of 1 inch. The piece was converted from a tie pin and carefully positioned on the ring, suggesting an insect about to take flight.
Size (Ring size): 56 (FR). The ring is hallmarked by the maker as well as "14KT." This ring is very well preserved, inspired by nature, and is a fine example of the Art Nouveau era. With only the conversion of the ring, this piece remains a remarkable original piece of jewelry. Weight: 2.8 g.
