This harem ring dating from around 1880 features an exuberant seven-row silhouette, combining color, movement, and brilliance. Old-cut diamonds sit alongside rubies, sapphires, emerald, turquoise, and pearls, each row contributing its own note to the whole.

- Condition: good condition, with wear consistent with age. The ring appears to have retained its original multi-row construction, and no repairs are apparent upon inspection.

- Style: late Victorian, composed as a seven-row harem ring with blocks in silver set with diamonds, alternating with colored stones and pearls.

- Material: warm 18K yellow gold, tested on a touchstone, with eighteen blocks in silver set with diamonds.
- Additional information: the term “harem ring” is widely used to describe a ring formed of several joined bands. Its often-repeated Ottoman association belongs more to tradition than to certain documentation and does not establish the origin of this ring.

- It is common for stones to be treated to enhance their color or clarity. The colored stones in this ring have not been tested for such treatments.
- Traditional stone associations: diamonds are traditionally associated with the month of April; the varied group of stones also includes the traditional birthstones for February (amethyst), May (emerald), June (pearl), July (ruby), August (peridot), September (sapphire), November (citrine), and December (turquoise).
