Ring in platinum adorned with diamonds, at the hinge between the Edwardian and Art Deco eras. The center of this intricate ring is composed of three bezel-set Peruzzi-cut diamonds: an elongated rectangular central diamond, and two truncated side diamonds, cut specifically for this ring. The largest diamonds are surrounded by a set of 40 single-cut and old mine-cut diamonds, bead-set. Levels separated by milgrain work connect the openwork patterns of the Edwardian era and the geometric designs of the Art Deco period in alternating bands. On each side, an additional detail features a scrolling foliate motif, hand-engraved. The underside is openworked to allow light to enter and reveal the triangular shape of the diamond bases.
What makes this ring particularly special are the Peruzzi-cut diamonds, a rare cut that is difficult to find. The Peruzzi cut is known as the ancestor of the modern brilliant cut, invented by Vincent Peruzzi in the 17th century. The square stone has 33 facets (significantly more than the 8-facet cuts mostly used at the time). The geometric facets have a hand-cut appearance while offering the brilliance of contemporary diamond cuts. They form a distinctive X and the diamonds have open culets.
- Diamonds: approximately 1 carat of old natural diamonds

- Band width at the narrowest: 1.3 mm
- Face height: 2.2 mm
- Weight: 4.45 g

Due to the delicate nature and age of this ring, a small patch repair is present at the back, very well done and not visible when worn. One of the smallest diamonds on the side is a replacement diamond; you need to examine the ring with a loupe to identify it.
