14k yellow gold ring, evoking a briar patch, adorned with four iridescent fire opals held in twisted 14k gold vines. The opals display orange tones with green and purple flashes. The gold is textured and sculpted to recall the veins of a vine, and the cabochons are held by scalloped prongs reminiscent of thorns. The texture continues all around the band, and the interlacing vines create a raised design above the finger.
A “briar patch” is a tangle of thorny plants and can serve as a metaphor for a difficult obstacle. Wearing a small fragment as a ring can symbolize overcoming an obstacle and remembering the strength and courage required.
