This 18-carat two-tone gold ring (750/1000) echoes the geometric codes of the Art Deco aesthetic through a structured composition and particularly refined metalwork. At the center, a round-cut synthetic Verneuil sapphire reveals a deep, luminous blue. Held in a bezel setting, it is enhanced by chiseled details that emphasize its outline. The ring head, crafted in 18-carat white gold, unfolds around the stone in a hexagonal setting with scalloped lines. Engraved floral and geometric motifs structure the surface, while several natural rose-cut diamonds are set into the metal and delicately punctuate the composition.

Let’s go further: The Verneuil process represents an important milestone in the history of synthetic stones. Developed at the end of the 19th century by the French chemist Auguste Verneuil, it made the industrial production of synthetic corundum possible, notably sapphire imitations, thanks to a flame-fusion method. These stones notably found their place in 20th-century jewelry. A synthetic Verneuil sapphire therefore has the same chemical composition and the same crystal structure as a natural sapphire, but its origin is different.
