French work from the second half of the 20th century, this elegant 18k white gold ring features a substantial octagonal setting mounted with a remarkable natural Colombian emerald, rectangular with cut corners and step-cut. The central stone, of an intensely vivid and particularly luminous green, is set with double prongs and surrounded by brilliant-cut diamonds that harmoniously enhance its sparkle.
The shoulders, also set with diamonds, as well as the openwork gallery with a geometric motif, testify to refined craftsmanship characteristic of French jewelry from the 1960s.
The emerald is accompanied by a Carat Gem Lab report confirming its Colombian origin as well as minor impregnation.
