Ring in platinum with an organic motif from the 1950s (mid-century piece). The design can be interpreted in several ways: organic, floral, French curve.
A central round brilliant-cut diamond of 4.5 mm is surrounded by 18 smaller diamonds (single and round cuts). The diamonds are highlighted by millegrain work, punctuated at each end by a hand-engraved geometric shape. Structural work (carriage work) supports the piece and provides a beautiful elevation to the diamonds.
The smallest diamonds measure from 1.25 mm to 3 mm. About 5 are single-cut diamonds; the others are medium-sized round cuts. The largest diamond measures 4.5 mm, round brilliant cut. The diamonds are G-H color and have a clarity ranging from VS-I to VS-II. The total is about 0.8 carat.
The ring is in very good condition, with minimal wear consistent with the age of the platinum. Size 3.5; can be resized up to two and a half sizes, up to a size 6. May also be suitable as an alternative Wedding band.
The durable platinum combined with the unique mid-century design makes it a sparkling and unique piece.
