Good for an invitation to participate in a gemology workshop, with 2 themes to choose from depending on the dates:

A workshop on the most popular stones in second-hand jewelry: their origins and their particularities to learn how to recognize them;

A workshop dedicated to the most precious of gems: the diamond
The workshop is offered in groups of 6 to 8 people maximum and lasts approximately 1h30.
The workshop is a real initiation given by an expert gemologist from our partner Gemmes ô Jolies who will present in particular:

The main colored gems of antique jewelry and vintage: sapphires, rubies, emeralds, pearls, garnets… and diamonds for the workshop dedicated to it;

Their characteristics, the main mines, their different qualities, historical anecdotes;

An introduction to gemmology: what is a refractive index, the Mohs scale, what are the typical inclusions of these stones…
Then the workshop will continue with a practical application: iIt will involve analyzing specimens of raw or cut stones from the personal collection of our partner gemologist Gemmes ô Jolies, but also learning to observe them under a magnifying glass... It will also be possible to appreciate the gems cut on our selection of antique jewelry to admire the size and the enhancement by the lapidaries.
