Period ring Art Deco in 14-carat white gold. The central diamond is set in an elongated horizontal geometric motif, framed by two triangle-cut sapphires, creating a shape reminiscent of an eye. The diamond, an old European cut, is held by six prongs in a hexagonal shape. The basket features beautiful filigree work extending halfway down the band.
Old natural diamond, Old European cut: 5 mm in diameter, for a total weight of approximately 0.5 carat, color G-H, clarity VS1. The two old natural sapphires are equilateral triangles of 3.8 mm. The diamond is in very good condition; the sapphires show slight abrasions consistent with their age.
The top of the ring measures 9/16” x 1/4”. The band measures 2.5 mm at its widest point, tapering to 1.7 mm. Weight: 2.35 g. Not hallmarked.
Can serve as an alternative to a Wedding band.
Ring size: 4.5; resizing possible.
