Magnificent period piece Art Deco, this 14-carat white gold ring features all the classic elements that make this era unique. The central diamond is set in an elongated horizontal geometric setting, bordered by two triangle-cut sapphires, creating an image reminiscent of an eye. The diamond, a beautiful old European cut, is held by six prongs in a hexagonal shape, while the sapphire lines extend the angles of the hexagon. The ring’s gallery is adorned with lovely filigree that extends over half of the shank.

The natural old European cut diamond measures 5 mm in diameter and weighs 0.5 carat. It is GH color and VS1 clarity. It is brilliant and dazzling, with a beautiful sparkle. The two natural old cut sapphires form equilateral triangles of 3.8 mm. The diamond is in excellent condition; the sapphires show slight abrasions, typical for their age.

The face of the ring measures 9/16" x 1/4". The band measures 2.5 mm at its widest point and tapers to 1.7 mm. The ring weighs 2.35 grams. Not hallmarked; acid tests indicate 14 carats.

A beautiful classic piece that makes an excellent Wedding band alternative.
